MEGA.NZ Shared folder is different than MEGA.NZ Links because the folder can never be reported, there is no option for anyone to report the folder to take it down (because it is shared privately & manually), unlike MEGA.NZ links where the folders are public and can be reported by anyone. EVEN the users who has access and was invited to the shared folder of MEGA.NZ cannot report the folder, there is no report button. This is because it would not make sense since if the user does not like the folder shared to them, they can simply leave the folder.
The MEGA.NZ Account Statewins is using to share the folders has 30 years of PRO III plan subscription purchased in that account, hence it will never expire.
Why is MEGA shared folder not the default method for customers?
Unlike MEGA.NZ Links, MEGA.NZ Shared Folder is done manually. It is impossible for me to add everyone to shared folder whenever someone purchases a collection in Statewins because we get hundreds of orders everyday. Not only that, users would not get their collection instantly after purchase because they would need to wait to be added in the shared folder. Currently Statewins shares MEGA.NZ Links of collection to users by default, and they receive the link automatically after order is confirmed, this is because you don’t have to invite someone to a link manually, if they have the link, they can access it.
